What is Green Plan?

Environmental Management Systems have long been available to large organisations who can afford them to help manage resources efficiently. However, in this world where more and more people are becoming aware of resource depletion, it makes economic and environmental sense for community organisations to implement EMS.

Why should you achieve Green Plan?

 

Grant finding applications now require organisations to demonstrate their environmental credentials which is the reason why community organisations have to implement an Environmental Management System. Green Plan is ideal for this situation as it is a practical based EMS allowing all community members to become involved avoiding a tedious paper based system.

Green Plan looks at the key resource uses of organisations; including energy, water, waste, transport and advises how these can be minimised and therefore help achieve financial and carbon based savings.
